With a soulful, Country inspired-sound fused with acoustic elements of bluegrass and folk, Molly accompanies herself on the harmonica and acoustic guitar, backed by her ever-increasing entourage of wildly talented musicians.
With over a decade of performance and writing experience under her belt, Molly & The Moon draw inspiration from artists such as Bob Dylan, The Civil Wars, Dolly Parton, The Eagles, Passenger, Laura Marling, Joy Williams, Joni Mitchell and Mumford & Sons.
Writing poetic, upbeat songs and enjoying a joyfully sweet but unabashed live presence, the band shine a new perspective on UK Country music, bringing the genre new ideas about consciousness, spirituality, humanity, beauty, nature and peace. A passionate vegan and environmentalist, Molly hopes to spread love, unity and connection through her songwriting and enjoys a joyful live presence.
Molly has previously enjoyed sell-out headline shows in her local county of Gloucestershire and has recently supported folk heroes Noble Jacks, Cara Dillon, Ninebarrow, Jessica Boswell and Mishra on their UK tours. Making some noise in her genre, Molly’s original perspective on Country music has attracted some attention and landed her debut slots at C2C Festival, TBCMF and Buckles & Boots in the summer with her band, a coveted appearance on Whispering Bob’s ‘Under The Apple Tree Sessions’ and a co-headline March tour with UK Country artist Danny McMahon.
Molly & The Moon are looking forward to an exciting 2020, bringing new ideas, phases and genre-combinations to their music.
