We don’t want to dilute the message that @marcusrashford has done such an excellent job of highlighting. / / Last week we gave away filter coffee for free with an optional donation to Wandsworth Foodbank, every single one of you chose to donate to this drive and I’ve paid over the funds this week to @trusselltrust , it’s clearly something that resonates with a lot of us here. / / Without turning the conversation political, organised food banks didn’t exist in the UK 10 years ago, last year they handed out over 1,500,000 emergency food supplies. Something fundamental has to be wrong for this to be the case where not only do we claim to have a welfare state, but are also not objecting to the current subsidy for our own politicians meals. / / Personally, if a 22 year old from Manchester feels compelled to do what 322 elected politicians chose not to, we’d like to join Marcus. Over the next two weeks we’re humbled to offer any child a Free School Meal, drop our insta a message or pop in between 11am-1pm and just mention Free School Meals. / #EndChildFoodPoverty
